Zonhoven, August 26, 2025. The 47th running of the 24 Hours of Zolder promises an exceptionally competitive grid. Porsche is once again expected to be at the forefront, as the German marque sets its sights on a record 21st outright victory in what is regarded as one of the most demanding 24-hour races in the world.

Six teams will field no fewer than ten Porsche 911 GT3 Cup – Type 992 – cars, confirming Porsche’s ambition to dominate the Belgian endurance classic, which also serves as the flagship race of both the Porsche Endurance Trophy Benelux and the Belcar national endurance championship.

In the first preview, we focused on the two frontrunners of the Porsche Endurance Trophy Benelux: D’Ieteren Luxury Performance by NGT Racing and Belgium Racing Team. In this second part, we turn the spotlight on the challengers. Four squads, together responsible for another five entries, will battle to be first across the finish line on Sunday at 4:00 PM.

MM Racing fields three cars

Currently sitting third in the Porsche Endurance Trophy Benelux standings behind Belgium Racing Team and D’Ieteren Luxury Performance by NGT Racing, MM Racing brings the only three-car entry to Zolder. The family-run squad of the Meurrens brothers, Steve, Mick, and Tom, will take turns behind the wheel of their Porsche 911 GT3 Cup machines. Running a trio of cars in the demanding GT Cup class is no small feat, reminiscent of the multi-car efforts seen at Le Mans. The Meurrens brothers aim for a strong finish to consolidate their third place in the championship.

Familiar faces at ART Racing

ART Racing, a long-time participant in the Porsche Endurance Trophy Benelux, enters 2025 with a Porsche 911 GT3 Cup – Type 992 – for the first time. The red #2 Porsche will be captained by seasoned racer Christoff Corten and joined by a talented lineup of young drivers with Porsche Carrera Cup Benelux credentials. Benjamin Paque, last year’s 24 Hours of Zolder winner and former rookie title contender, teams up with Nick Ho, who recently claimed a race victory at Circuit Assen, and Sacha Norden, a multi-season PCCB regular. Rounding out the roster is Bas Schouten, already familiar with the PETB paddock.

David Saelens returns with Q1 Trackracing

Q1 Trackracing, reigning champion in both the drivers’ and teams’ standings of the Porsche Carrera Cup Benelux, will defend its honor with a two-car assault. Car #59 will see experienced names share driving duties: David and Nicolas Saelens, Lars Zaenen, Florian Latorre, and Sam Dejonghe. For motorsport fans, David Saelens needs no introduction: the West Fleming won the French F3 title in 1998, took victory in the prestigious Masters of F3 at Zandvoort the same year, and later became a multiple race winner in the Porsche Mobil 1 Supercup.

In the sister #911 car, Jan Ooms and Glenn Paenen are joined by Arthur Peters, current GT4 class leader in the Porsche Sprint Challenge Benelux, alongside Gonçalo Fernandes. Their effort will be supported by coach and fifth driver Nicolas Vandierendonck.

To strengthen their chances, the team has enlisted the experience of multiple winner Kenneth Heyer, along with a quick fifth driver.

Also worth mentioning is the entry from BE Motorsport by PG, which will line up with a Porsche 718 Cayman GT4 Clubsport in the GT Sport category. The car will be shared by Bart Custers, Hans den Ouden, and father-son duo Stephan and Didier Beyens.
