D’Ieteren Luxury Performance by NGT wins the first 125-minute race
Belgium Racing takes second and third place
Circuit Zolder, May 19, 2025 – The 2025 Porsche Endurance Trophy Benelux is officially underway, with the season opener delivering an exciting 125-minute race on the Limburg circuit. Glenn Van Parijs, Cédric Wauters, and Robin Knutsson took the top honors, steering the D’Ieteren Luxury Performance by NGT Porsche 911 GT3 Cup – Type 992 – to a commanding victory. The trio finished with a lead of around seven seconds over the first of two Belgium Racing entries. Jan Lauryssen and Dylan Derdaele claimed second place, followed closely by teammates Michael Cool and Brent Verheyen in third. Porsche locked out the entire podium at the curtain-raiser of the national endurance championship.

The Porsche Endurance Trophy Benelux continues to offer a thrilling competition within the Belcar Endurance Championship. Porsche remains a fan favorite and a top choice for teams and drivers alike. On Saturday, Glenn Van Parijs secured pole position in the D’Ieteren Luxury Performance by NGT car, narrowly edging out Jan Lauryssen in Belgium Racing’s familiar #99 Porsche.
“But the race still has to be driven,” remarked Cédric Wauters, making his debut in a Porsche 911 GT3 Cup – Type 992 – for D’Ieteren Luxury Performance by NGT. “It’s a fantastic car that really lets you explore its limits. On top of that, I’m getting to grips with it under the guidance of a very supportive and experienced team.”

Wauters went on to claim victory alongside Glenn Van Parijs and Robin Knutsson, ahead of the two Belgium Racing squads. Just off the podium, brothers Tom, Mick, and Steve Meurrens drove a solid race for MM Racing to secure fourth place. They finished ahead of the Porsche from Russell Racing by ART Racing, piloted by Frank Thiers, Hans Thiers, and Christoff Corten.

The father-son duo of Dirk and Tom Van Rompuy took sixth place in the VR Racing by NGT Porsche 911 GT3 Cup – Type 992, as part of their build-up to the 24 Hours of Zolder. Rounding out the top seven was the Alnimax Racing team, represented by Alexander Borgmans and Maxim De Witte.
In the GT Sport class, featuring predominantly GT4 machinery, JDK by NGT took home a silver medal. Benjamin De Cock-Juna and Jane De Keersmaecker brought their Porsche 718 Cayman GT4 RS across the line in second place.

And now to the Ardennes
The Porsche Endurance Trophy Benelux heads to Spa-Francorchamps for two events in quick succession: the first on 31 May and 1 June, followed by a second round on 4–5 July.
“We’re creating the perfect platform for Porsche fans to race competitively on one of the world’s most iconic circuits,” said Series Manager Rudi Penders. “Guest entries are always welcome, and from here it’s a straight path toward the 24 Hours of Zolder at the end of August!”
