- Dylan Derdaele takes the 2021 title

The Porsche Endurance Trophy 2021 had its last winners on Sunday around 3.30 pm. The competition raced for the last time in 2021 this weekend, during a 3-hour final of the Belcar Endurance Championship at Circuit Zolder. The 2021 title went to Dylan Derdaele of Belgium Racing, ahead of his teammate Nicolas Saelens and Yannick Redant of RedAnt Racing. Once again, all Porsches that started in the final race arrived at the finish line and in addition, Porsche took the title in the GT, GTA and GTB classes of the Belcar Endurance Championship also known as the national Belgian endurance championship.

The Porsche Endurance Trophy 2021 is over, but not without a very beautiful and fiercely contested last race of the season, in which the various Porsche performed brilliantly again. At the end of a three-hour race, the gap between numbers one and two in the Porsche Endurance Trophy was just 4.8 seconds. The Redant family, with father Bert and the sons Yannick and Ayrton, won the RedAnt Porsche 992 GT3 Cup, for the same example in the colors of Q1 Trackracing by EMG, with Jan Lauryssen and Jaap van Lagen behind the wheel. Lauryssen is of course the brand new champion in the AM category of the Porsche Carrera Cup Benelux and the Dutchman van Lagen drove the 24 Hours of Le Mans in the past with Porsche and is of course a very experienced Porsche driver who has been profiling himself for many years. as frontrunner in the German Carrera Cup and the Porsche Mobil 1 Supercup. These two teams also claimed first and second places in the GT and GTA classes of the Belcar Endurance Championship.

“I am very happy with our third successive victory”, beamed father Bert Redant at the podium. “It's a shame that a collision in the opening race cost us a lot of points, because otherwise the final battle for the title would have been even more exciting. In any case, we also took two second places and three victories, culminating in the victory in the 24 Hours of Zolder, a testament to our strength as a team and the outstanding reliability, even in longer races, of the new Porsche 992. ”

Hat trick for Derdaele

The brand new champion, Dylan Derdaele, rode together with Nicolas Saelens to third place in the final round of the Porsche Endurance Trophy. Derdaele is experiencing a real farming year, with titles in the Porsche Carrera Cup Benelux, the Porsche Endurance Trophy and the GT and GTA classes of the Belcar Endurance Championship. The Limburger scored a true hat-trick in his Porsche 992 GT3 Cup of Belgium Racing.

The places four and five in the final round at Zolder went to two Porsche 991 GT3 Cup, who fought a nice duel throughout the race, with Jimmy De Breucker and Sven Van Laere (RedAnt Racing) in fourth, ahead of Glenn Paenen and Michael Cool ( Belgium Racing). Last but not least, Philippe Wils, Kobe De Breucker and Geoffrey Heyninck took sixth place, good for another victory in the GTB class of the Belcar championship, with a Porsche Cayman that proved extremely reliable throughout the season and is a perfect basis for to take the first steps in motorsport.

The Porsche Endurance Trophy 2021 has now come to an end, but we are immediately working hard to make next season another successful year. Thanks to all the teams, drivers and sponsors who made 2021 a sporty year of excellence.
