Belgium Racing Team achieves the double in the Porsche Endurance Trophy Benelux at Oschersleben

- Michael Cool and Dylan Derdaele sign for the third victory for Porsche in four races in the national Belgian endurance championship.

- Two times Belgium Racing Team and RedAnt Racing occupy the podium of the penultimate race of the Porsche Endurance Trophy Benelux

Oschersleben, September 24, 2023. Oschersleben was the meeting place for the fourth meeting of the season of both the Porsche Endurance Trophy Benelux and the Belcar Endurance Championship, with a race of 125 minutes ahead. The overall victory was the third time in four races for a Porsche 911 GT3 Cup – Type 992 – and of course Michael Cool and Dylan Derdaele in the colors of Belgium Racing Team also immediately won the classification in the Porsche Endurance Trophy Benelux. Patric Derdaele's team did the double in Germany, with Koen Wauters and Jos Menten taking second place, just a few seconds behind first, while less than a lap later, John De Wilde and Michiel Haverans finished third in the Porsche 911 GT3 Cup – Type 992 – from RedAnt Racing. The finals of both championships will have to wait until October 15 and the meeting place will then be Circuit Zolder, for another 125-minute race.

The differences were very small in Oschersleben and with the top 3 within one and the same lap, it remained uncertain who would win until the checkered flag. Ultimately, victory went to Dylan Derdaele and Michael Cool, who are also the new leaders in the Porsche Endurance Trophy. Porsche thus took a third victory of the season in the Belgian endurance championship, after previous victories for Q1 Trackracing in Spa-Francorchamps and AUGUST by NGT during the 24 Hours of Zolder.

“I am very happy with my first overall victory,” laughed Michael Cool on the podium after the race. “It took a while and we have already played at the front several times this year, but now we have succeeded. It was a great match, very intense, where we were only certain of victory in the final phase. The Porsche was extremely good, the team had mapped out the strategy well, and Dylan and I did the rest. Dylan rode a strong opening phase and thus laid the foundation for the victory, the first of the season for the team.”

Jos Mensen and Koen Wauters also enjoyed the race and were satisfied with the double for the team from Lommel. “Of course, winning with the team is always nice,” the duo said after the race.

Michiel Haverans and John De Wilde rode to third place within the victors' lap. They did this, of course, in a Porsche 911 GT3 Cup – Type 992 – from RedAnt Racing.

Appointment now on October 15th for the final of the Porsche Endurance Trophy at Circuit Zolder.
