Belgium Racing achieves two out of two in Porsche Endurance Trophy Benelux at Magny Cours

- Limburg team takes first and third place in second appointment of the season

- Q1 Trackracing takes place on the podium between the two cars of the Derdaele family

Magny Cours, June 6, 2022. Racing for 180 minutes, that was the task for the teams of the Porsche Endurance Trophy Benelux during the second meeting of the season on the French circuit of Magny Cours. The various Porsches again made up almost half of the field and the German GTs were all again at the finish of what turned out to be a hard and unpredictable race. In the end, the victory went to the duo of Belgium Racing, Michael Cool and reigning champion Dylan Derdaele, at the wheel of a Porsche 992 GT3 Cup. They beat Q1 Trackracing with Filip Teunkens/Jan Lauryssen and the brothers Kris and Koen Wauters, also in the colors of Belgium Racing. Tip Top Rent was first in the class for the Porsche Cayman GT4 for the second consecutive time.

The endurance specialists in the Porsches had an appointment on Whit Monday on the French circuit of Magny Cours for a race of over 180 minutes as part of the Belgian endurance championship. While the first victory of the season was reserved for the brothers

Kris and Koen Wauters, the victory in France went to Dylan Derdaele and Michael Cool in an identical Porsche 992 GT3 Cup. They only had a half-minute bonus on Q1 Trackracing with Filip Teunkens and Jan Lauryssen at the finish, while the winners of Zolder finished within a minute of the victory.

Dylan Derdaele: “We certainly didn't have a flawless race, with first a racing incident that cost us time and then two drive throughs, which also lost half a minute. Of course we are happy with the win, but just like in Zolder we should really try to keep those t

hings out of the race, especially in the light of the 24 Hours of Zolder, our main goal this season. Provided a flawless race, we could have also given Porsche and our team the overall victory in the National Endurance Championship. Good, appointment in good a month in Spa-Francorchamps.”

Behind the top 3 there was also a hard fight for the places of honor, and the fastest of all Porsche 911 GT3 Cup Type 991 immediately finished in fourth place, with the young Michiel Haverans and the old, experienced Marc Goossens. They also do it in the colors of Belgium Racing. Hans Thiers, Christoff Corten and Glenn van Parijs gave Russell Racing by NGT a top 5, but the team is clearly looking for more in the Porsche Endurance Trophy Benelux. RUSH Competition by Speedlover and Speedlover moved into sixth and seventh places after three hours of competition.

Tip Top Rent also deserves a special mention that once again drove a strong race with the Porsche Cayman GT4 of the Peters-Gulicher duo, proving that the Porsche Cayman GT4 is a great car for mastering motorsport. The young Arthur Peters is increasingly finding his rhythm and is one of those young talents who seeks and finds his way in the Porsche pyramid.

Appointment now in about a month in the Belgian Ardennes with the third race of the season in Spa-Francorchamps and just like in France in 125 minutes.
