The Porsche Endurance Trophy 2021 will have its champions around 3.30 pm on Sunday. The competition will do it this weekend for the last time this season, during a 3-hour final of the Belcar Endurance Championship at Circuit Zolder. The title fight is a matter of Belgium Racing versus RedAnt Racing and all is still possible. With a race that starts at 12:30 pm and ends three hours later, the curtain falls on the 2021 season, a season that started behind closed doors, but in which the public can now safely access the circuit again and can enjoy it to the full. of motorsport.
In the 24 Hours of Zolder, the RedAnt Porsche 992 GT3 Cup was victorious and the Redant family team will again be present in Zolder this weekend, with no fewer than three cars: the Porsche 992 GT3 Cup of father Bert and the sons. Ayrton and Yannick, but also with a Porsche 991 GT3 Cup for Sven van Laere and Jimmy De Breucker and of course the Porsche Cayman GT4 of Philippe Wils, Kobe De Breucker and Geoffrey Heyninck.
The last fast GT is the direct competitor of the Belgium Racing Porsche 992 GT3 Cup in the title race of the Porsche Endurance Trophy Benelux. The Belgium Racing duo Nicolas Saelens and brand new Porsche Carrera Cup Benelux champion Dylan Derdaele are certain of the title with a podium on Sunday, but sport would not be sport if the verdict only falls on Sunday afternoon. Belgium Racing also uses three Porsche 911s, including one for the Wauters brothers and a Porsche 991 GT3 Cup for racing entrepreneurs Glenn Paenen and Jan Ooms.
Q1 Trackracing by EMG Motorsport is also present in Zolder. The Limburg team is extremely successful in the international GT Open competition, where it occupies the top 3 in the GT Open Cup one race from the finish, but that does not alter the fact that national motorsport also remains of great importance to them. The team is in Zolder this weekend with a Porsche 992 GT3 Cup ahead of Jaap van Lagen and Jan Lauryssen, who won the title in the Am category of the Porsche Carrera Cup Benelux this season.
